This wasn’t ANYONES best acting and the story was okay with a CORNYYYYY ending. 
But you know… opinions and buttholes and all that. See more Blu B @RT43513976 Sep 1 A 90's Crime Drama Classic. The highlight is the acting which is really good all around. Lopez & Cloney got really good chemistry and everyone else is doing really good playing very quirky and memorable side characters. This is probably one of Lopez's best films she's ever done only behind the likes of Selena. Really good direction too. Very stylish at times and well done. Everything else is pretty solid. Going into it this film is 50% what I thought it'd be and 50% not. Along with alternating between being a crime flick and a sort of character drama. This defintely is inspired at times with how it's edited and diverges into 2-3 storylines at times from Pulp Fiction storytelling. While also being a heist movie and it's a very interesting sort of slow pacing but vibing with the character drama at times. There are some questionable decisions Lopez/Clooney make. The reference to Three Day of the Condor kind of fits perfectly with the romance this has where it's hard to believe (though that one was much more plausible) but the chemistry between the two leads sells it along with the great direction. It still feels like 2 seperate films though especially in the middle. You could cut out the Lopez/Clooney romance stuff and I don't think much changes despite him always going out of his way for her. How he thinks this can work long term is beyond me. His opening scene was excellent and probably the best thing in the film. The hesit flick doesn't feel like Ocean's 11 though. Anyone who is a fan of the director, any actors here, or slow burn type of crime movies should check this out. Very overrated. See more Ari V @RT59419633 Apr 8 At its best, it's Heaved (Ribisi, Blanchette) light. Very light. But it's filled with enough talent to make it pretty impossible to dislike. Not when I was a teen and not almost 30 years later. One thing I do notice now and didn't then however, is how much better it could have been with main stars who aren't so impenetra bly charismatic and better at character acting.
