The pitch-perfect casting of the members of Mystery Inc. is what makes Scooby-Doo compulsively rewatchable. The plot is serviceable, and most adults will be able to unmask the villain long before the Mystery Inc. team does, but that doesn’t matter.

Scooby-Doo is one of those movies that may not be perfect, but it captures the chaotic fun that makes the franchise special. This is easily one of the strongest Scooby-Doo casts ever assembled. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Linda Cardellini, Freddie Prinze Jr., and Matthew Lillard completely understood their characters and brought Mystery Inc. to life in a memorable way. Is the story cheesy? Absolutely, but that is part of the charm. Scooby-Doo has always been about mystery, friendship, humor, and over-the-top adventures, and this movie embraces all of that. The chemistry between the cast is what makes the film work because these characters feel like the team fans know and love. The CGI has aged poorly, but it fits the early 2000s era and adds to the movie’s unique style. The film has flaws, but it is creative, fun, and different. Overall, Scooby-Doo is not a perfect adaptation, but it is a wild, entertaining adventure that delivers the goofy energy fans expect. Again!!

Scooby-Doo é exatamente o tipo de filme que adoro descrever como um "ótimo filme ruim". Está longe de ser uma obra-prima do cinema, tem vários momentos exagerados, efeitos em 3D que envelheceram de forma questionável e um argumento que não pretende ser levado a sério. Mas, de alguma forma, tudo acaba por funcionar a seu favor e o resultado é divertidíssimo.
