Blake- N @PBSAniDom Apr 21 Bobby (2006) is a decent ensemble drama that explores the lives of multiple people connected to the night of Robert F. Kennedy’s assassination. The film has an interesting concept and a strong sense of atmosphere, and it does a solid job showing how different characters from various backgrounds intersect during a historic moment. The cast is large and varied, and while some storylines are more engaging than others, there are a few standout performances that help carry the film. The period setting is also well captured, giving it a nostalgic and grounded feel. However, the movie sometimes feels uneven, with certain segments feeling more like short vignettes than a fully connected narrative. A few characters and arcs don’t get enough depth to be as impactful as they could have been. Overall, Bobby is a respectable but flawed attempt at an ensemble historical drama.
