However, because i don't know enough about the real life events, and it seemed like this movie tried to be a little bit manipulative, explained alot, rather than let the impact of its story shine through, and was a bit bias towards one way of thinking, without showing the rather complicated issues of its subject matter in a broader way, i am giving it this score. In sum, it is decently well done and engaging, but a bit manipulative, too explanatory and does not cover nuances in an unbiased way. I have seen better; but i have also seen worse. Louis Hofmann, Katharina Stark, Frederick Lau, Mala Emde, Maria-Victoria Dragus, and the rest of the cast did a fantastic job in this movie. This true story about the Jugend Rettet rescue organization was dramatic, inspirational, and incredible. It's about ordinary people willing to help rescue refugees while others are trying to stop them. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's a definite must see. M @RT88449406 Jul 22 A brilliant account of a true story. One will sit, hands clenched, not believing the cruelty dealt out to the rescued and the rescuers. It is appalling what these refugees went through. This film is a powerful lesson in how young people can take charge and embarrass those who refuse to take in refugees from war-ripped countries.
