The film never allows the audience to truly get to know any of the characters in Larry's world, a world in which their uniform shirts emblazoned with company logos and their first names serve as reminders of their lot in life.

Arrow is Jason Schwartzman's French Bulldog in real life. So many films fail with 'the cute pet' coming across as contrived and gimmicky. What makes the chemistry work, the deadpan sardonic slack the planet pathos of 7 Chinese Brothers, is that nobody is really probably acting all that much.

i wanted to hate it because i identified with this lackluster loser drifting through life in Austin TX, however I ended up loving it mainly for the trippy script and the fact that its the actor's real life dog. i dunno, i just worked for me. i think the writer is the coolest kind of writer.....

This movie is...I don't know how to put it?...different? weird? uneventful?....you leave this whole scenario just the same way you got there in the first place: with no message and no moral story,which is not bad,but it's also not great. I love Jason Schwartzman in everything,as an actor as a musician...as an artist,period and not because he's hollywood royalty or anything like that,he's just a very likable guy,his dog is the funniest part of the movie. if you dig quirky,independent,low budget with no high expectations films,this might be a good one for you.

I'm not sure what the point of this movie was at all. The characters are neither interesting nor likable, but... I didn't hate it. Mainly I watched it because Tunde from TV on the Radio is in it.
