See more Steve C @RT94609422 12/21/2022 This movie has the distinction of possibly being the worst Hallmark film of the decade. The entire premise of "Two Christmases" with the same cast, is not only confusing but poorly written. Additionally, the lighting, scene transitions (using wipe transitions straight out of mom's 1980's Handycam) and color balancing is horrible. The opening scene is so poorly lit (appears to have no lighting whatsoever) that the two actors in the scene are actually red, is a telltale sign of poor production value to come. At the one hour mark, a home-party set, it again appears that the DP used the same lighting (or lack thereof) to shoot a major scene in the move where everyone is orange/red and, again, not worthy of a student project. At the 1:05 mark, nothing is in focus. Not the set, the talent or ... anything. This scene should have been reshot as soon as a playback was done and the poor quality was observed. The majority of the movie has the talent in shadow (unlit) while the background is 2+ stops brighter. If this was turned in to me for a high-school film project the students would get a D-. I'm not sure what Hallmark is trying to do this Christmas but, if it they are trying to turn away most of their loyal fan base, they are hitting the mark. See more Read all reviews
