See more creative u @RT08453977 12/23/2022 LOVED this movie didn't expect it to take the turn that it did, based on the pictures posted on here. Good thing I trust certain critics to know what to watch and what to avoid. The film was really well made Anaïs Demoustier and Valeria Bruni Tedeschi shine through, it's a great thing it was directed by a woman, which you can kind of tell. One thing I did noticed though was the amount of things Anaïs gets away with, I couldn't help but wonder if the fact that she's skinny, white and feminine helped her get out of tricky situations that she created. I wonder if the character would've been portrayed by a woman of color would she have gotten away with half the things Anaïs did? Would it have been realistic? Well one can only wonder and honestly that's part of the main's character charm, she is -like many have pointed out- the manic pixie dream girl only this time the audience is seeing everything from her POV . Regardless I really loved this movie I expect it to be included in some 'best of lists' in the following years. See more 06/23/2022 I have known and loved women like Anais. Exasperating, unpredictable, charming, annoying, exhilarating, passionate... I loved the build up to the seduction of Emilie, and its manifestation. Very passionate, erotic, sensual.... I liked that the two beautiful women were not super young, and the age-gap romance has always be something that appealed to me - both as a young woman, and now as an older one. Beautiful film.
