Archaeologist Scarlett Marlowe has devoted her whole life to finding one of history's greatest treasures: Flamel's Philosopher's Stone. According to legend, the artifact can grant eternal life and turn any metal into gold. When she learns that the stone is hidden underground in the Catacombs of Paris, she assembles a crew to guide and document her historic mission. As they begin their descent, the team-members have no way of knowing that they are entering their own personal hell.

The idea of setting a horror movie in the Paris Catacombs is brilliant, and they take full advantage of all the elements that make them scary in real life. It’s huge and maze-like, it’s claustrophobic, caves be caves, and spooky bones.

My favorite comfort horror film. Best “found footage” and I love how her knowledge in other languages/culture/history is what ultimately saves them in the end. Acting is great and so are the visuals, along with the parallels. This film deserves a way better score.

Very underrated. This movie blends traditional found footage horror with what feels like tomb raider. Once things get going, this movie feels creepy, intense and oddly fast paced without one compromising the other. Definitely worth a watch for any horror fans that might have missed it.

This is a good one. A good horror movie. A good adventure movie. A good thriller. Good acting. This one has it all. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It kept you engaged in the story, solving puzzles, keeping you unsettled and ready for the next scare and mystery around every corner getting lost underground. The perfect setting for a found footage movie, and actually filmed in the paris catacombs! It keeps you guessing and has firmly buried itself in my catacombs of more memorable horror movies.

This movie is extremely disappointing. It doesn’t make any sense. The movie spends the first 70% trying to build the storyline which then goes absolutely nowhere in the last 30% of the movie. It really was a waste of I’m 1hr33mins. 3/10
