I have no negative things to say about the movie itself, but it did leave me feeling really sad. But that just shows how real everything was in the movie. It really cut deep, because the topic was really something I fear myself. The ending was good, though it did leave me thinking.

Once again Amandla Stenberg stands out in a film that truly resonates with me. Teenage years are SO confusing. It is tragic that you don't get to go through it more than once. This story was heartbreaking while being funny and realistic and genuine all at once. One cannot help but reflect back on your own teen years as you watch (if you're past your teens when you watch it). I honestly felt each character. Even the Dad. Cinematography, pacing, editing, .... I really will never forget this film.
