Jade Coyote 01/07/2022 good acting good action weak writing and story telling See more Josh S @RT36305431 5d As an Assassin's Creed fan since 2009 I can tell you that this movie is pretty decent, yes is not perfect I may change most of the present timeline scenes for more of the animus with the assassin Aguilar, which it looks pretty cool btw. This movie gives an amazing cast with good interpretations. The Assassin's fighting movements are impressive and the leap of faith scene is just amazing, yet is incomplete and that's almost a crime for this franchise, I really wanted a continuation for Callum/Aguilar story, sadly is not going to happen... good movie for AC fans and newcomers is entertained and with great visuals, love the Spanish Assassin's and their scenes are few but pretty great. I don't think this movie fails because of the action or acting, which are both great for what they are, but rather because of the nature of the game. The movie bounces between two time periods, trying to exposition dump just for things to make some sense. I played the games and thank goodness for that, but would recommend just replaying Ezio's story over watching this one. While the writing could be better, this movie was intended for fans of the series who have the background knowledge of the AC universe. Those who lack that knowledge may have a decent time, but will ultimately be left confused. From an Assassin's Creed fan watching this movie for the first time in 2026, a whole decade after release, this movie was fantastic. All of the little details that make up the AC universe were on displayed and represented in a new and interesting way. And I believe current AC fans will enjoy it much more than the AC fans of 2016 ever could. While not one for one; from the cut of the finger, to a new take on the Bleeding Affect and a movable animus; this movie excellently takes its liberties of making the Assassin's Creed universe a reality while still respecting the original source material. See more A J @RT30824839 Apr 2 Just noticed the RT rating for this and thought it deserved a much better ranking. Not into video games and wasn’t aware until now it’s based on such. That said, for me, this was a good movie and just as enjoyable as Prometheus, thereto notedly, MF was, per usual, conveying his enigmatic presence on screen that made this film intriguing too.
