Backrooms is a fantastic horror film that captures the unsettling feeling of liminal spaces perfectly. Rather than relying on constant jump scares, it builds tension through eerie environments, isolation, and the fear of the unknown. The atmosphere is incredibly effective, making ordinary empty spaces feel deeply unsettling. If you're a fan of psychological horror or liminal-space concepts, Backrooms is definitely worth watching.

Backrooms feels impossible to describe. I went in cold. I'd heard of "backrooms" but I've never seen the series or absorbed the lore. When I left, I wasn't even sure I'd seen a horror film. A day or so later, and I'm like, yeah it's a horror film. Backrooms has many strengths - the practical sets and effects, the strong lead performances, the hybrid cinematography. Gonna be a honest, may have triggered a depressive spiral I really didn't want. Right now, there are a thousand takes from Backrooms aficionados and uninitiated alike. Ignore it until you've seen it. Be prepared for a slow burn, ambient sound, and many moments not unlike that disorienting feeling when you leave the dentist and don't know which way you came in.

I didn't like the concept of backrooms. It seems like the movie is about a man who is drowning in misery from all his failures and setbacks in life. He doesn't take accountability while killing those around him. Those he kill seems to be stuck in a reality with him(the backrooms). Meanwhile he's weirdly being observed by scientist
