The sentimental bits feel contrived and leave a saccharine-sweet aftertaste, which somehow seems to works against the spirit of the story. On top of all, the one thing I was really disappointed in was the uninspired soundtrack. See more 12/10/2014 Hawn and Sarandon are pretty good as the best friends, but the "seen it before script" and the pedestrian direction kind of drag it down.
