Rather than going back to the original fairy tale by Mme. Leprince de Beaumont and reenvisioning it, the film reformats the studios cherished animated original with actors and computer-animated special FX. It's less a remake than a replication.

Amazing movie! Stays faithful to the original, unlike some other Disney remakes, but with some new songs and more character depth. Highly recommend for all who love the original and for those who have never seen the movie before.

Out of all the live action remakes I was most worried about this one as the original was my favourite Disney movie. Honestly, I was so pleasantly surprised by this movie. I did wonder why they decided to cast Ewan McGregor as Lumiere a French candlestick, that was the only decision that I was a little bit confused by and didn’t think worked completely. But the rest of the cast I think were perfect. I was a little disappointed by the live action dress for Belle as it wasn’t as beautiful as I would have liked it to be in live action. But overall, I think the film was brilliant and the singing was great- I’m not really bothered if they auto tune them or not lol not sure if they have or happened, but either way I don’t care! I think this was one of the best live adaptations that they have done alongside Cinderella. I am unsure why people have been to critical I absolutely adored this movie it made me feel so nostalgic and happy! 😊
