When a mysterious force decimates the population, only one thing is certain -- if you see it, you die. The survivors must now avoid coming face to face with an entity that takes the form of their worst fears. Searching for hope and a new beginning, a woman and her children embark on a dangerous journey through the woods and down a river to find the one place that may offer sanctuary. Her portrayal of Malorie is raw, guarded, and deeply believable. Watching her evolve from emotionally closed-off to fiercely protective gives the story real weight. This movie could have been good if they actually explained what was being seen or how it started. Also, too much unnecessary blood and gore. A big letdown and terrible story. Why are some people not as affected as others, and trying to kill people? Dum

The idea of a suicidal horror film is definitely an interesting and dark choice but they made it work with the unique and somewhat basic characters and the idea of a monster we cannot see ourselves. It’s an overall good film with a psychological thriller that keeps people watching.
