"Blue Gold" completely changed how I look at a pair of jeans and truly educated me on the people and process behind the manufacturing of every item of clothes we purchase today. I found it fascinating and had no idea that the blue denim fashion statement came from such humble beginnings in the gold mines on the west coast of the United States. The film really drew me in with the detailed story, funny interviews, and following jeans hunter Eric Schrader around the world looking for blue gold. Thank you for a great documentary! The fashion industry is very interesting, and this story has so much history on everyone's favourite pants. But this documentary is quite disjointed, and the story following the jeans dealer is uninteresting. Not the worst, but you could probably just read up on jeans instead.
