Charlie Brown heads to Europe as an exchange student in this animated movie based on the "Peanuts" comic strip. Along for the ride are Snoopy, Woodstock, Peppermint Patty, Marcie and Linus. In London, Snoopy and Woodstock test out their tennis skills at Wimbledon before the gang heads off to France. Charlie has an invitation to stay at the château of a mysterious baron. But when they arrive on a dark and stormy night, it soon becomes clear that their adventure has only begun.

The worst of The Charlie Brown Movies. This movie doesn't make any sense at all. Two foreign exchange students come from France to The Peanuts Gang's school and four members of The Peanuts Gang (Charlie Brown, Linus, Marcie, and Peppermint Patty) go to France. Snoopy and Woodstock somehow manage to go over as well, which isn't explained. Spoilers ahead from here on out. Peppermint Patty and Marcie get the comforts of the country they are visiting while Charlie Brown and Linus have to sleep outside of what seems to be an abandoned chateau. Not only that but Charlie Brown and Linus have to DRIVE from the school to the chateau every night. These kids are in grade school but they are old enough to drive a car? Even though the driving age in France is 18? In one scene, Snoopy is driving, which I guess is okay because Snoopy is successful in everything he does. The only reason why I am giving this movie even one star is because of a few fun moments that actually happen. Marcie finds love in France. Peppermint Patty thinking that Marcie's crush is in love with her is pretty funny. Also, the twist ending of Charlie Brown's grandfather being the one who helped the chateau's residents during World War II was pretty good, but other than that, this movie is terrible and it is no wonder why we wouldn't see another Peanuts movie in the theaters for 35 years.

What sounds at first like an interesting premise falls apart at nearly every turn, making constant illogical steps even for the Peanuts' standards, and makes Peppermint Patty even less likable than Lucy along the way.

Synopsis
