Breakwater starts off being a mediocre thriller, but then it goes swiftly downhill in the last third of the movie, when it crams in too many far-fetched plot twists. It doesn't help that the movie's protagonist is dimwitted and boring.

These characters aren’t all that complex or involving as written, the twists that beleaguer them too familiar to stir any great suspense. Still, Breakwater is a competently crafted potboiler that’s entertaining if unmemorable.

Just AWFUL. The acting... Is horrible. Just abysmal. Which is a shame, because the writing isn't all that great. The sets look like something from a jr high musical. This is a D list movie at it's finest.

Saw this movie on TikTok and thought I’d give it a watch. I’d give it a 2/10. Definitely shouldn’t be R-Rated or in the Thriller category. This won’t be the worst movie you’ll ever watch but it will be amongst the worst movies you’ve ever seen. The music selection also didn’t help. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t watch again.
