Annie (Kristen Wiig) is a single woman whose own life is a mess, but when she learns that her lifelong best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), is engaged, she has no choice but to serve as the maid of honor. Though lovelorn and almost penniless, Annie, nevertheless, winds her way through the strange and expensive rituals associated with her job as the bride's go-to gal. Determined to make things perfect, she gamely leads Lillian and the other bridesmaids down the wild road to the wedding.

Sure, it neatly avoids a lot of the fluff found in many chick flicks and replaces it with crass shenanigans, but it adds touching moments when they're needed most, providing for a smart, less clichéd comedy.

Every lady who has ever been a bride, a bridesmaid, or a maid of honor should see this. You will either laugh at the moments that remind of your own wedding party or laugh thankfully that none of these characters were anyone of you or someone else.

Absolutely hilarious with some of the funniest women in hollywood. Not at all what I expected. I expected more of a 2016 ghostbusters vibe. Well written and executed.

Although the film has been previously condemned for it's run-time, I thoroughly enjoyed all of "Bridesmaids". Some have described the film as a "chick flick" but the film thoroughly refutes any one genre. The physical humor and wild interactions between women was refreshing and thrilling, considering women are expected to present themselves in a way that forbids any disorder. Additionally, the smaller scenes that featured Annie on her own individual journey as well as larger key scenes with all the ladies really enriched the narrative. There was a realistic depiction of selfhood as well as female friendships that was not only entertaining but relatable. The all-female casting unintentionally markets itself as a chick flick or a film for women, but overall the film refuted any stereotyping and instead, was a gem of a film anyone could find entertaining.

A funny, very entertaining film. Wiig gives a tour de force performance; Byrne is Tom Terrifico; Jon Hamm fits like glove (it's this type role at which he excels.) I laughed out loud at many point in this intelligent movie

For better or worse it's a improve driven film relying on its talents. The results are some great laughs, but unfortunately also an abundance of scenes that go on endlessly for no apparent reason.
