Paul D @MoroseMusician May 22 It is hard to categorize The Message. It attempts to be a faith-based movie, but its theology is vague and cliched. The screenplay and the acting are hokey to an extreme. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. The actresses are attractive, the actor playing Percy has a natural charisma, and I recognized one very famous now-elderly actress from my childhood and even managed to remember her name: Mariette Hartley. It isn't high quality art, but it was a pleasant emotionally satisfying movie to watch on a nondescript weeknight.
