His genius finally recognized by his idol Chester V, inventor Flint Lockwood gets to join Chester's company, where he can work full-time on technologies to help mankind. However, Flint soon discovers that his most-famous machine, which turns water into food, is still operating but now creates animal/vegetable hybrids. With the fate of humanity in Flint's hands, he and his friends set out to save the world from tacodiles, shrimpanzees and other deliciously dangerous creatures.

As an animated film, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 will bring lots of laughs for kids. They hardly wrote this with parents or adults in mind but it still works in many ways.

Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn (working from a script by John Francis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein, and Erica Rivinoja) have expanded on it nicely, crafting a film that feels like the natural successor to the original without simply rehashing its story.

Wasn't really sure where they were heading with a second movie, and I thought they did a fine job. Didn't really think this movie was necessary, but I believe they capitalized the best they could.

When I think of “perfect sequel” this is a movie I think of. I love the whole food jungle aesthetic and how the movie executes it. All of the characters are back in this one, it may not be as iconic as the first movie but this sequel still is and will always be rewatchable. I enjoy Flint’s arc with being split between Chester V and his friends, it still always brings chills down my spine rewatching that scene where Flint finds out Chester had malicious intent. Another arc I enjoyed was Tim’s arc with the pickles. I always enjoy the scenes with them. Overall, this is a classic. Again not as good as the first one, but real close.

I loved it, it’s a great sequel talking about some real societal issues. Taking over one’s land in promise to better it, telling them to evacuate their own land, colonialism, genocide. A lot of great topics were covered with such a great story. I think ppl who hate them are either dead in the head or they watched it with closed eyes. I mean you are not happy when the societies major crisis are being represented. Ugh ppl piss me off. Anyways great movie. Would probably recommend it.
