andrea C @Charst Mar 20 Sci fi elettrizzante che scombina le carte del surriscaldamento globale portando ad una nuova era glaciale. Come spesso accade il film è NY centrico ma tutto sommato l'incredibile spettacolarità delle sequenze fa dimenticare tutti i difetti. Attori abilissimi ed un'ottima differenza di trame che mostrano sopravvivenza della persona e sopravvivenza della razza. Il film diverte e non annoia mai, non si perde in eccessivi dialoghi o perbenismi che pure sono presenti. Un film tra i più importanti del genere e tra quelli che ne hanno segnato la definitiva svolta negli anni 2000. The science is hanging on by a thread, people are outrunning instant ice storms, and Dennis Quaid is basically power walking across the planet to save his kid. It is dramatic, cheesy, and completely ridiculous in the most entertaining way possible. The weather gets so aggressive it feels personally offended by humanity, and I love every second of it. It is pure disaster movie junk food and I mean that as the highest compliment. Despite its scientific liberties and heavy-handed melodrama, there is an earnestness to its scale that keeps me hooked every time the frost begins to creep across the screen. For me, the spectacle and high-stakes tension of seeing the world frozen over go right up there with the best of the genre from the 70s, capturing that same classic "disaster epic" spirit with a modern, icy twist. The characters as well are unique and well acted, even down to the homeless guy who sticks with the NY group.
