08/03/2009 Amusing early-seventies French crime flic with all the necessary ingredients (tough cop, action scenes, suspenseful music, some clownish types, etc.). Interesting elements here are the emphasis on the failing of the (police) system and Marlène Jobert as a charming sidekick to good old Ventura. Key issue in the movie is the quest for a vital witness in a court case. This film is not the best of its kind, but it certainly passes the mark. See more Read all reviews
