High-school senior Malcolm (Shameik Moore) and his friends Jib (Tony Revolori) and Diggy (Kiersey Clemons) bond over '90s hip-hop culture, their studies and playing music in their own punk band. A chance encounter with a drug dealer named Dom lands Malcolm and company at the dealer's nightclub birthday party; when the scene turns violent, they flee -- with the Ecstasy that Dom secretly hid in Malcolm's backpack. A wild adventure ensues as the youths try to evade armed thugs who want the stash.

Bad movie all around. Full of cheap "laughs" if you did laugh at any point. Completely unrealistic situations. No meaningful character development. It was labeled a comedy but the jokes were just the same crap. Sex jokes, drug jokes, wannabe gangster jokes. An all around unbelievable pointless "comedy" that only juveniles that think jerking off and peeing in public are worth laughs. It is badly put together and very disappointing. It didn't teach a lesson it just was. So if you like stupid humour then feel free to watch it.

It's not horrible but it's really cringy, the story is improbable and not even fun. Even the overall film isn't really funny or interesting and I couldn't get myself to like the main character. Maybe just not for me but I don't see why the rating is so high. It's still watchable so you might consider watching it

What am I missing here? This film is terrible. Story is awful, the acting even worse. I have seen very few movies with more cringe or flat scenes. Even setting the bar low does not elevate this thing. Did I mention how truly awful the acting was?

Don’t waste your time watching it, it’s not horrible but it’s just cringy and the main character low key sucks and it might just be me, but he makes me so mad. It’s just very stereotypical, not worth it
