Broken Lizard did great with this film all around,great chase scenes,loads of humor and fantastic casting right down to Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke because frankly she’s hot as balls in those cut off shorts! I appreciate the original TV show and I love the original actors/characters... more authentic looking actors, more real comedy. I watched it with fresh eyes and open mind, I was entertained by the raunchy comedy, over the top stunts and hillbilly caricatures... it dares to defy the standard and stands out as a unique take on a classic piece of media It's a unique film because it's short comings are in many ways its best qualities... I can appreciate introspection or character depth but I can also appreciate Jessica Simpson in booty short and a model in a bikini every 5 minutes (there were so many)... It was a raunchy comedy that made sense for the time and context it was produced and it fit a specific type of humour that no longer exists in 2025. Why compare it to the series or original?, even the critdicks do that?, but never mind. Goofy fun, good ol' boys and just mayhem 🤪 The cast all performs convincingly and after I've seen "the making of" it, a lot went into the movie. Not for everybody, but I can not think that the majority thinks it's "mindless" and "empty"(vacuous)??
