Welcome back to Shadyside. While the identity of the villain knocking off the prom queen candidates is obvious, the sheer uninhibited Road Runner meets Wile E. Coyote excitement of the climax remains delightfully infectious.

There’s a lot of limb-severing and such. But “Fear Street: Prom Queen” never rises above its pedestrian concept, which simply lifts cliches from standard slice-and-dice opuses...without ever figuring just how seriously it wants to take them.

The audio description track here is one of my favorites of the year. Liz Gutman’s writing is flawless, and the description captures every gory detail. While the movie is mixed for me, the description might be the reason I’m leaning positive.

An average slasher film and essentially a "Prom Night" remake with creative (albeit CGI-ridden) kills, a good 80s pop playlist as a soundtrack, and a pleasing 80s Instagram filter. The highlight is the Newton Brothers' score; I've already forgotten the plot, but the finale was quite entertaining. Anyone between 12 and 17 years old looking for a sleepover movie will definitely enjoy "Fear Street: Prom Queen" more than I did.

its an absolute shame that people hated this movie I loved it This movie is shot well, has great humor, a pretty interesting murder mystery, great kills, and great cinematography with awesome twists I will say though the 3rd act kinda sucked and some twists were pretty predictable and the characters make dumb decisions and are not as like able as the other characters in the original trilogy and the acting is…. not great but I can tell that they are trying their best which makes me want to see these actors in more movies big step down from the best trilogy ever, but not big enough for me to hate

This movie is getting way too much hate, despite how good it is. It's not perfect, but it is very good. Firstly, the kills are gruesome. Very gory and bloody but not disgustingly violent. The acting is very good and the performances convey how desirable the title of "Prom Queen" is to them. It's rare I point out a soundtrack in a movie, but the soundtrack was really good in this one. Plenty of good 80s tunes blasting through the house as you watch this movie. This movie also tries its best to feel like a movie set in 1988. I think it definitely succeeded in that department. In typical R. L. Stine fashion, the twist was very good. The whole movie I was trying to guess who the murderer was and never figured it out. Overall, this movie is a great tribute to classic 80s slasher movies and is definitely not deserving of all the hate it is receiving.
