Every bad decision makes the next one worse, and the tension keeps building until everything explodes. The final twenty minutes are incredibly satisfying, and the cast sells every emotional beat. It's much more interested in the relationships between the friends than constant scares. Once everything falls apart, though, the tension really kicks in. I appreciated that the characters weren't perfect people—they felt messy and real. Worth watching if you enjoy slower thrillers with a strong payoff. What starts as a reckless girls' trip slowly turns into something much darker, and the film keeps escalating without losing sight of the characters. The performances felt believable, the desert setting added a lot to the atmosphere, and the final act definitely sticks with you. A few rough edges, but an impressive debut.
