Smartly cast with an ensemble of up-and-coming young actors who deliver the bitchy comedic dialogue like they wrote it themselves, Forbidden Fruits is very much of our current moment. Go to Full Review

It’s campy, full of laughs and some gore, and even sounds a chord about breaking free – or at least trying too – of female friendships and cliques. Go to Full Review

The movie is rarely fun or funny, further dulled by gray-washed scenes that turn the hottest store in the mall into a pale echo of better cult films. Go to Full Review

Alloway’s film simply needed more bite and idiosyncrasy if it wanted to transcend the borrowed parts it has here cobbled together. Go to Full Review

While there’s plenty of style (and I’m sure the movie will have a committed cult audience), I ultimately didn’t think the character motivations, logic, or ending worked. Go to Full Review

Barbie 23h It was an interesting story it was like modern day The Craft meets Mean Girls. I enjoy the fresh take on female lead horror films. If you like comedy horror this is a must watch. See more AshDizzle 1d It was so camp and a nostalgic thriller in the way it was filmed. Everyone in the movie was so tea. There should’ve been more yuri !! See more Grace H 1d It was the biggest mind f**k of a movie and super weird but also iconic???? See more Aryan 1d Honestly, pretty badly executed. At times it almost felt like a joke on the audience The dialogue was weak even though the ideas themselves were actually interesting. The plot was all over the place, the twists didnt land, and character motivations were barely explained -- so there was basically no real character development. That said, it did have a lot of potential. Unlike the 2024 Mean Girls, which just felt like a rehash of the 2004 one, this one actually had the setup to be a proper successor in terms of girl dynamics and hierarchy. Im probably rating it higher than it deserves just because Im a sucker for this kind of movie -- but yeah, its frustrating, because it really couldve been something great. See more Hadley 1d Wickedly funny and subversive. If you ever worked at a mall as a teen, you know! See more Julie M 1d I didn’t realize at the end it was gory. Not to my liking. The story line was hard to follow. See more Read all reviews
