When a powerful satellite system falls into the hands of Alec Trevelyan, AKA Agent 006 (Sean Bean), a former ally-turned-enemy, only James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) can save the world from an awesome space weapon that -- in one short pulse -- could destroy the earth! a pleasant blast from the past with outstanding picture and sound 4k bluray upgrade quality making it feel like it was filmed this year. Finally getting to experience in the theatre first time ever having not been able to in my early childhood. Great way to celebrate the 30th anniversary on JB 007 day!

Rated: 7.9/10 ⭐️ Celebrating the 007: First Light release. Thought a mid-90s reboot might feel stale, but Brosnan’s debut completely hooked me. What Worked: • Brosnan is top-tier, perfectly revitalizing Bond for the 90s. • The practical stunts are wild, especially that St. Petersburg tank chase. • Dench as M is a massive flex; loved her calling Bond a Cold War relic. The Friction: • Serra’s synth score felt out of place and lacked classic Bond vibes. • The pacing really dragged for me after the Cuban jungle crash. • The early CGI really shows its age and pulled me out of the immersion. Verdict: Watch for a top-tier spy adventure. Skip if you hate dated CGI or synth scores.

Il ritorno dell'agente per eccellenza porta in dote un nuovo interprete che sembra calzare a pennello e riportare a Bond quel fascino irresistibile e british che non si vedeva dal primo Roger Moore. La sceneggiatura non è di grande qualità, si basa su una novità dell'agente rinnegato ma non riesce a creare una trama solida ed anzi risulta particolarmente forzata nello svolgimento e nei dialoghi. Ciò nonostante, il ritorno di Bond con al seguito i soliti personaggi, tra cui alcune gradite conferme, riesce ad appassionare e a divertire. Il finale con la base subacquea non è particolarmente riuscito, così come buona parte delle sequenze di azione.
