I've purchased the "chunky box" and it is packed with great stuff. The movie itself is a great action cinema. Picture quality is top notch. Very detailed, great color due to HDR, Dolby Vision. It looks outstanding. Sound while in Dolby Atmos isn't best - with by 7.1.4 system by high channels were pretty much asleep. But surround is great. The film itself is John Woo's masterpiece - no doubt. Overall, "Hard Boiled" is a action extravaganza at its best, most bloodies and entertaining. For years, I've had moments of the hospital sequence imprinted on my memory & thirty years later, it's a work of beauty to be able to rewatch it in its entirety, thanks to the Arrow Video Limited Edition Blu-ray release. John Woo knows how to create tension in his relentless approach, not just to the storytelling, but also in his committed style of filming the action. As anyone can get caught up in the bullet-ridden chaos of the blood-soaked violence, & if the shootouts don't hit you, the explosions & shrapnel will. It’s God damn impressive that the action sequences are memorable, but for the final set piece in the hospital to take up nearly the final hour & doesn't get repetitive, it's easy to see why John Woo has a solid reputation.
