Set in 1964, He Went That Way is a taut thriller based on a true crime story that puts a wicked spin on the buddy road trip film. The film follows 19-year-old serial killer Bobby (Jacob Elordi) as he is picked up by a celebrity animal handler, Jim (Zachary Quinto), on a desolate stretch of Route 66 with priceless cargo in tow: Jim's chimpanzee, Spanky, an American TV darling. As stress between Bobby and Jim rises and their fiery personalities combust, the road only becomes more treacherous the farther they go.

He Went That Way looks like a cinematographer’s movie. Every scene, even the ones without Elordi, looks like a million bucks, with that smoky, creamy look of a thousand retro motels.

Le aplaudo la idea de contar una historia diferente, pero se queda corta en emoción. La narrativa es bastante plana y le faltó más drama o intensidad para engancharme. Es una película para pasar el rato, pero no es memorable.

Movie was horrible and I did a pay per-view of all things. Elordi and Q didn’t have good chemistry and phrases like you suck and are a suck but use the F word in the phrase was just kinda stupid sounding and the story line was everywhere.. Just not well done and the salute Elordi did like he did in Pricilla was just out of place in both movies I thought.

Found interesting the fact that was based on actual events. I think the acting was good, specially Jacob Elordi, but there one thing that I didn't like at all. With all the advances in make-up the chimp was extremely creepy and unrealistic.

Strange & unpredictable but not in a good way. Great leads that overact their roles. An interesting cross-country Western tone with very solid cinematography. Yet the screenplay is missing big elements to give it a purpose.
