Bo H @RT21687956 4d I think this is a great film. Mann makes you feel you are watching real life. Great acting, script, directing, cutting and editing. It shows you the price Neil and Vincent pay for immersion in violence and crime. Vincent as much a sNeil. As well as their families and lovers. It shows how ego and revenge can get you killed. Excelent characterizations. A quibble: I know something about guns. The rat tat tat on the street , between the cops and robbers, expends some 1,000 bullets. And all the rifles are on automatic. These guys, would have to carry backpacks of ammo clips to do that much shooting. Though, once, we see a reloading. It's like cowboy movies where our hero rapid fires some 15 bullets from his six-gun. See more Stefan E @StefanE Jul 17 One of, if not the best crime movie I have seen. Perfect blend of emotional bits, action, and humor, also great performances by great actors. If you haven't watched this, you definitely need to at least once, but I've rewatched it a few times. Do five man teams of detectives in double breasted suits really exist in the wild? At times, the stylization is distracting. This could have been a classic crime movie but once again Robert Deniro sinks it with his arrogant demeanor that somehow is present is every single role he ever takes on. It's just a joke at this point. Oh look, Robert Deniro is playing Robert Deniro again as yet another crappy human being. In that sense, he fits the role but by the end of the movie I really never want to hear that voice ever again. Too bad, this movie could have been so much better! But this piece of dried guano proves in no uncertain terms that Pacino couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. OMG!!! I am beside myself at his acting 101 histrionics which totally destroyed my enjoyment of a piece of entertainment, piece of turd. God forbid I should have to see more movies of this low caliber. It shows what happens when people become completely devoted to a purpose. Every characrter is chasing something. Whether it's freedom, success, meaning. The best part is performances never feel forced. Every character feels believable. Few movies manage to feel both entertaining and reflective. See more Read all reviews
