The world’s most ferocious death metal band, Impaled Rektum, is back and ready to unleash hell! There's fewer surprises and less antic urgency than there was in "Heavy Trip," but if you like this sort of comedy—or really, this type of characters—you'll probably find something to enjoy.

he humor here still works well, the story is interesting, and the whole package is a lot of fun. Heavier Trip is a worthy sequel that, while not as good as the first, is a strong follow-up on most fronts.

There’s a lot here that’s familiar, but the endearing characters and great comic timing turn it into something distinctive, with a natural charm that few films in this subgenre can match.

I definitely liked the first one much better, but this one wasn't bad. Appreciated the Violence Unimagined shirt. That was sweet. Love that album.

You shouldn't watch the movie expecting high quality cinema, because at the end of the day, it's a satirical movie. But it is a fun movie to watch for metalheads, with some cool easter eggs and running gags (including Xytrax secretly becoming a fan of Babymetal and the singer of Blood Motor having such a demonical voice that he uses some kind of inhaler to speak understandably). Throughout the story, Heavier Trip also critics both the music industry and gatekeeping tendencies in the metal scene in a decent enough way that it doesn't become tedious. All things considered, I would consider this a decent comedy.

guys are forced into another road trip, extra cookie monster vocals and lots of hijinks. they should have brought back minka kuustonen from the 1st film, it's an OK watch.

this could have been much better, but it's a bit disorganized and has too many interruptions for slapstick gags. it's still a fun watch, but the first movie is much better in my opinion. i'll give it 3 stars because i think this group can make another solid film, but i wasn't very impressed with how they managed the higher budget for this one.
