moon s @moon90 Feb 20 good plot but poorly made, somehow pin head is randomly out of nowhere known in a video game? that was random/made no sense. these movies keep getting worse! i liked the idea of the house and the main protagonist but only a few "gore" scenes happen here and there which is not enjoyable to watch, i think it was just shock value, would much preffer having the cenobites involved like in the first 3 movies. The cast in this film is unreal, having Henry Cavill and Lance Hendrickson in this film makes this film interesting for its star power, the story, although its an unrelated story converted into a Hellraiser film, as someone who enjoys playing videogames, this definitely targets to people like me, the twists could've been better, in my opinion and the cenobite designs, apart from Pinhead, make them look like the actors were wearing masks. No no no. When you think the Hellraiser movies cant get worse. Hellraiser hellworld comes out and is possibly one of the worst movies out there. Pinhead has about 15 mins of screen time. This film takes that to a whole new level though making it a core concept. There is a noticeable step down in quality compared to the previous film which is strange as it was shot in tandem with the previous film using a lot of the same team. It has something in common with Saw (2004). It plays more like a bad slasher than a Hellraiser film. There's nothing clever or interesting about this film, it's just a below average slasher. It has so much exposition towards the end that it becomes tedious. Also the actual ending was objectively bad. If you forced me to decide my least favourite of the series so far I'd just about pick Hellraiser: Hellseeker (2002) over this one as the worst. See more Read all reviews
