'I Blame Society' Brief synopsis; Playing a fictionalized version of herself, director Gillian Horvat resolutely navigates a series of comical obstacles, skeptical intimates, and biased industry gatekeepers to get her first feature film off the ground. From a subjectively innocent initial concept that sings to fans of the 'My Favorite Murder' podcast she deftly executes the first in a series of impeccable transgressions of an unforgivable madness... This film is both an amusing and alternately disturbing in its narrative exploring the dark side of artistic vision. Articulating the often celebrated egregious qualities deemed to be intrinsic to cinematic brilliance. All in all, I enjoyed this lots more than I thought I would. Low budget, low expectations. See more Courtney K @c0urtn3y 02/27/2022 yeah idk - i've seen others compare this to the Creep franchise, but Creep was INFINITELY better. this wasn't even on the same golf course, let alone up to par with Creep. although, it was creepy. the main girl is a walking red flag, I'm not sure how she got her boyfriend to begin with let alone keep him for as long as she did. I'm actually not sure i liked it, but it's a pretty good depiction of something - i don't know what - an aspiring filmmaker who also happens to be a little mentally unstable? lol. idk. I'm not mad i watched it, but i don't think i'd recommend this one. See more 02/12/2022 Whiny, slow, self-centered mental masturbation. It was viscerally repellent and disgusting, like watching Lena Dunham talk about molesting her little sister. Also can we get some elocution lessons please? The words are clear, but this nasal vocal fry, jfc. Unbearable. Shakycam warning for migraine, motion sickness, and seizure patients.
