Despite a long list of issues, iBoy's familiarity means it's a safe, enjoyable watch. It's never going to be challenging any of its inspirations, but as far as escapism goes, it's a winner.

iBoy is a film that takes a high-concept sci-fi premise and reduces it to a sluggish, cliché-ridden thriller that feels like a patchwork of better movies you've already seen. The plot quickly devolves into a standard, by-the-numbers revenge story, offering no new twists or intellectual depth to its central conceit. It's a premise we've seen explored with more intelligence and style in films like Lucy (with its unlocked brain potential) and even the classic connection themes of E.T., but without any of their charm or excitement. is a missed opportunity. It takes an interesting nugget of an idea but fails to develop it in any meaningful way, instead relying on a tired revenge plot that has been done countless times before. The slow pacing, weak performances, and complete lack of originality make this a forgettable entry in the sci-fi genre. You're better off rewatching any of the films it tries to emulate.

A gritty down to earth revenge drama set on a UK council estate. Good visual effects, but with no side effects from using his power, it lacks some personal struggle and apart from this gimmick, it's not much different to any other hacker movie. The plot's predictable but keeps your interest and although the presentation is low key and the stakes are low, it comes together nicely for the finale. The acting's understated with an awkwardness only teens could deliver, but it gives a quick glimpse behind the curtain of our digitally connected world.

This film is a fantasy for teens agers. A boy after an assault got superpowers and he used it for good. I found it very interesting . And I recommend you to see it before any judgment.
