Its power lies in turning the Minotaur myth upside down: the monster isn't the bull-headed Asterion, but those with corrupt hearts, like the ambitious hero Theseus, a selfish achiever who values glory over lives. The story hinges on the touching friendship between Icarus and Asterion. Only Icarus sees the beautiful soul behind the horns, their bond a protest against a cruel world ruled by convention. The film asks a universal question: who is the real villain, the accused or the accuser? The unique 2D/3D visuals are stunning, and even Pasiphae's love is reimagined as sincere. The tragic ending, where society wins, only strengthens the message. This is a must-see for anyone who's ever felt different. It teaches empathy, challenges familiar myths, and leaves a bittersweet aftertaste, proving that the more you differ, the more life you hold. A reinterpretation of the Icarus myth which creates a friendship between him and the young minotaur. It's a lovely ascetic film made with hand-painted expressionist animation.
