Great acting by all the actors, though I'm a bit tired of seeing Sam Elliott in the same quiet-Southern-gentleman-cowboy-who-doesn't-say- much roles. Would have liked to see the Martin Starr character a bit more developed but overall a nice movie that makes the ordinary lovely. Probably more interesting for an older audience. The film definitely seemed lacking in content. It was a bit lacklustre. I enjoyed it until Bill died, then felt short changed. The acting was good and I'm a fan of Sam Elliot and Blythe Danner. If I had l known what the ending was going to be, I would have chosen not to watch it. Martin Starr was very boring and annoying, could have done without him and his tone deaf voice. Awful karaoke and plenty of death with cameo appearances from two dogs. The film may be sponsored by Chardonnay since the heroine spends nearly every scene swilling it, when she's not drinking beer, Appletini or smoking pot. The critic's 93% score is unjustified.
