It is the first year of Germany's occupation of France. Allied officer Lt. Aldo Raine assembles a team of Jewish soldiers to commit violent acts of retribution against the Nazis, including the taking of their scalps. He and his men join forces with Bridget von Hammersmark, a German actress and undercover agent, to bring down the leaders of the Third Reich. Their fates converge with theater owner Shosanna Dreyfus, who seeks to avenge the Nazis' execution of her family.

The performance of Christoph Waltz, playing the Nazi Gestapo figure Col. Hans Landa, is the highlight of the film. His ability to convey courtliness and sympathy and then go to commit the cruelest of horrors is simply superb.

That was glorious, you basterds! This movie obviously turns out to be a smart story. The category about an alternate, fictional take on an event. In it, we have insane casting! The man who portrayed Hitler could have had more hair & less weight. It seems Mike Myers was never just a comedian really. It is really interesting: the tale - our inglorious basterds take on Nazis & it involves Hollywood. They really set the scene since I saw posters of movies like "The Wizard of Oz". Then, the screen gets hacked by the inglorious basterds, where they pop up, set it on fire & many of Hitler's army die. BTW, none of this happened for real - remember, it is an alternate take, just like "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". How I love movies centered around teamwork & overwhelming scenes. Really set up the scenes like a classic.

A top pick for me, has very well thought out and intense scenes that have you on the edge of your seat despite just dialogue. It’s action is fun and at times satisfying and leaves you with a hell yeah feeling afterwards. 9.8/10
