"Ip Man: Kung Fu Legend" follows the familiar formula, with heavy handed politics, cartoonish villains and a plot built around fights. Still, polished visuals, entertaining action and Dennis To’s convincing presence make it an enjoyable franchise entry. Go to Full Review

richie S @Homeless_Emperor Jul 24 The movie was bad, my family and i were given free tickets to watch the movie, eventhough it was free, the movie sucked. We walked out of the theatre without finishing the movie. It was a waste of time and a massive let down compared to the films that Donnie Yen acted in. See more Ken S @RT20189131 Jul 23 The worst ipman movie i ever seen. There are so many walkout of cinema too pee, signyal of boring action movie. With a lack of real kungfu skill. And too many feminisme slogan bulls$&@ in the movie. Also calling for riot if there is no justice. See more Marc Z @TKDLife Jul 19 Taking up where Ip Man: Kung Fu Master left off, Dennis To resumes his role as the legendary Wing Chun teacher and mentor to Bruce Lee. The movie is a well paced Kung Fu thriller, more than a historical biopic; however, Ip Man has become more of an iconic superhero than a historical figure. The film opens with a visually interesting and engaging scene where Master Ip must endure challenges in order to assume leadership of his school. While this segment does not tie heavily into the main storyline it is a very fun way to get the film started. The Direction is very good. It helps that he Directed the 2021 Ip Man, also starring To. As in the prior films, the martial arts choreography and fighting are plentiful and fun to watch. Some great use of rain in one of the fight scenes, and fire in another. To’s Wing Chun translates well to screen. The climactic fight scene in Ip Man: Kung Fu Legend has elements of some of the ones from the Yen Series, but highly watchable nonetheless.
