Still, if the film is ultimately disappointing it is in part because it begins so well, and there is a lot to enjoy before the over-the-top final act. Go to Full Review

I like Downey Jr, usually, with his dark wounded eyes, but here his performance veers between going though the motions and a look which seems to say, "Hey, what film am I doing again?" Go to Full Review

John F @Faloon 2h Amazing movie showing Tony starks arrogance in a perfect manor and the twist of Obidah stane being a villian is great the final fight left something to be desired but an almost perfect origin story I highly recommend it See more Guilherme M @RT21202523 17h RDJ perfomance as Tony Stark was impecable. Loved the arrogant, annoying multimillionaire on screens. The fight scenes were PACKED in action, and not to say about the stunning visual effects. I heard this movie was a huge gamble from MCU to run from bankruptcy, and oh boy, that was the best gamble they could ever do. See more Intellectual G. @Intellectual 2d Tony stark was able to build this shi in a cave. See more Jacob L. @DerpyIsMLG 2d Reviewed 5/14/2022 Well, I'm glad to see that Marvel's Cinematic Universe hit the ground running. The main character has a very clear and well thought out arc, and Obadiah Stane is well... Obadiah Stane. I think the plot twist of him selling weapons to the terrorists so that they can kill Tony Stark so that he can rule the company is a bit convoluted, though there have been worse villain ploys. His reveal as being evil feels like an afterthought, the rest of the movie works so well and then suddenly Stane is a bad guy. That's really my only complaint about the movie. If it had a better villain and a more coherent way if revealing said villain, it'd be higher up. The rest of the film is still incredible. See more yanzi S @Yuirxya Mar 22 I am just starting the MCU series and this is a great initial movie of this big chain of films. The concept of this movie is unimaginable. See more Bret M. @BretM-3 Mar 22 Iron Man Review It’s hard to believe that this movie started the MCU all those years ago. But after rewatching it, it’s obvious how this movie spawned the MCU. This movie is great! This is helped by Robert Downey Jr.’s great performance. It’s been said a million times but it’s still true: RDJ was born to play Tony Stark! I love how we see Tony grow from an arrogant playboy to an actual hero with great intentions. The armor is also great in this movie. We are at a stage in the MCU that’s pre-nanotech, which makes it more believable. The armor is more raw and believable because we see each piece slide and come together, whereas the nanotech borderlines magic. I also think that Obadiah Stane is an alright villain. He’s not like a top 10 MCU villain, but he’s pretty good for this movie. I also love the action scenes. The scene where he breaks out of the cave, the final Iron Man vs. Iron Monger fight, they’re all great! Overall, this is an amazing movie that is a great MCU kickoff! See more Read all reviews
