The year is 2455. The Place is Old Earth. Once the shimmering blue jewel of the galaxy, Old Earth is now a contaminated planet abandoned for centuries. Yet humans have returned to the deadly place that they once fled. Not to live, but to research the ancient rusting artifacts of the bygone civilizations that caused this environmental disaster. Ten movies in, the franchise finally and mercifully becomes self-aware. Despite the weak plot and absence of a compelling final girl, the film’s sense of humor keeps the ship on course in one of the franchise’s more entertaining outings.

Jason X feels like a mindless action movie that you can easily put on in the background while working or engaging in more productive activities. While it does have some solid action sequences, the story is essentially nonexistent. The film’s primary objective is to create a wow factor.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Jason X" (2001) is a bad film, no matter how you watch it. It doesn't work as a parody, as a horror movie, as a science fiction nor really a slasher - it just does not work. At running time 1 h 26 min i was bored out of my mind. To its defense, this isn't the worst one in the series - for me bottom of the barrel was No. 8. To its not defense - there are great example in Saw X how can tenth part in a series of horror slasher can work - you just need to put more effort into it. Overall, "Jason X" is a bad film in every way, but not the worst ever. That is the best i can say about it.

This movie is horribly put together, terribly written, and the only semi-worthwhile performance in the whole abysmal movie was turned in my Kane Hodder. I have watched this movie twice in my life and that is 3 hours and 4 mins of my life I will never get back
