Now known as the Dragon Warrior, Po protects the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, the Furious Five. However, a dangerous villain threatens Po's awesome new life with plans to use a secret weapon to wipe out the martial art and conquer China. In order to defeat the new enemy, Po finds he must recall his past and unlock secrets of his mysterious origins; only then will he find the strength to vanquish his foe.

The storyline arc may seem a tad familiar to fans of the original, but Kung Fu Panda 2 offers enough action, comedy, and visual sparkle to compensate.

This time, we have a film that deals with some new themes: “your origins do not define your present or future”, “let go of the past”, or “obsession with revenge brings nothing new with it”. Valuable lessons for the kids, of course. Full review in Spanish.

This sequel doesn't disappoint and explains how Po became the son of a noodle-making gander while Po learns how to find inner peace. While I loved the anthropomorphic animals in the first film, I initially thought the wolves were hyenas.

This one felt more emotional and serious while still keeping the comedy alive. Po's past added much more depth to the character and the villain, Lord Shen made the movie more intense and interesting. Visuals were beautiful, specially during the action scenes, and pacing stayed strong throughout. Basically, It was a balanced humor, emotion and action very nicely.

I really loved Kung Fu Panda 2. The movie had amazing animation, great action scenes and an emotional story. Po’s journey was inspiring and interesting to watch. The fight scenes were exciting and the comedy made the movie even more enjoyable. I also loved the background music and the villain’s character because he made the story more intense. Overall, it is one of the best animated sequels I have watched.
