It's a pretty clunky contrivance and it ends up being more or less a one-man show... Teddy would need to conjure up a considerable amount of charm and he and his conversation are not quite funny or smart enough to make it happen.

Rafe Spall is suffering from the typical "I'm not my dad" syndrome, he tries way to hard to be a good and funny actor and fails miserably, aside from his usual uncharismatic and limited ranged performance, the film lacks charm and on screen chemistry, with an untalented cast ruin a story that had potential.

I really enjoyed this movie. Likeable characters. Nice and light, easy to watch, doesn't make you have to think too hard to pick up the moral of the story.

Just the perfect little film for a sense of fun and happiness. Rafe Spall shines in this and I'm sure there's more to come from him. Superb supporting cast. Enough dry humour to keep you chuckling along and enough sentiment to bring a few tears. Really pleased I watched it and found it really thought provoking as the story of Sam resonates with me. Little gem of a film.
