This jukebox musical is full of fluffy fun but rough singing voices and a campy tone might not make you feel like "You Can Dance" the whole 90 minutes.

I had no clue that this was a musical. This one successfully got into the right books for me though. It was just a refreshing, breezy, beach, chaotic bundle of joy. It is retro and vibrant and always golden. Like most other musicals, it had its annoying share of the characters breaking into unnecessary songs and unfitting lyrics for long periods. But I almost tuned out, for the voices were light and the shots simply mesmerizing. The story does not even matter, nor does it matter who the father is. At the end of the day it is one of the most upbeat films I have ever watched, drenched in Golden, White and Ocean Blues. I adored the outfits and the bold prints. The characters are endearing to all ends—all the trios—the girls, the ladies, and the dads.
