So it seems the real target audience for this one is "cinephiles with kids." And, for the most part, "Minions & Monsters" does a pretty good job at combining the respective humors of both of those demographics.

Bright colorful movie with the cute Minions being silly. There was a story line but without being a spoiler, it wasn't much of one. I wouldn't call this movie "creative", they did what they needed to do to be able to introduce the characters they wanted to drive the plot. Nothing too creative about it. Kids will like it but not overly love it. It uses the Minion brand to produce what will be a little money maker for all involved. It's a good choice to see when there isn't anything else available.
