Traveling magician Mr. K (Crispin Glover) is down on his luck. Business is slow, and the few gigs he's picked up along the road have left him adrift. After spending the night in a remote hotel, he is alarmed when he discovers that he is unable to find the exit. As he explores the maze-like corridors, he hears strange noises and encounters a series of curious inhabitants who have formed their own factions within the walls of the hotel. Alone and afraid, he starts mapping out the corridors, desperately hoping to get to the bottom of the building's layout before it is too late. Stuck more hopelessly than ever and about to give up, he makes a bizarre discovery that will change everything. Starring the ever-eccentric Crispin Glover, this Kafkaesque mystery offers a bold new take on falling down the rabbit hole.

Succeeds as both an homage to Kafka’s fascination with the absurdity of life, and especially with the socio-bureaucratic systems we humans have wrought upon ourselves, and as a sumptuous and surreal feast for the eyes.

Utterly surreal, visually decrepit and stunning. An absurd dream world that is both claustrophobic and breathtaking. It’s a mind boggling trip with some creepy and anxious moments. I found it to be a fun, atmospheric adventure that falls apart in a wonderful way.

Waste of 2 hours. Derivative and boring. But even as it's derivative, it only copies the most surface level characteristics from better films. I really hated it and felt the filmmakers must have thought I was some easily dazzled rube just because a lot largely incoherent yet visually interesting things happened. It was insulting. It was like watching a magic trick with no ending. Anyone can shuffle cards and ask you to pick one but it takes skill to produce a satisfying conclusion.

Terrible bougie movie! Had no idea what was happening - no closure or ending. Had to get an existential explanation of the ending online. Also the trailer does not represent the movie at all.

Mr.K is the worst movie I have or ever will watch in my life. It is a complete waste of time. I would have gotten more enjoyment out of watching High-School frickin Musical while my best friend’s dog rape his stuffed platypus, Perry. Seriously, I would have rather watched the Big Jill video for an hour and a half. Like seriously though nothing in this movie made sense at all and there’s not even an actual ending. I think that a baby could write a better movie with a white frickin crayon. I would rather have watched the live action air bender than this. 0/10

An "atmosphere-forward" plotless disaster masquerading as a film. This is a polarizing "vibes-over-plot" phenomenon in modern cinema. This film trades traditional three-act structures for sensory immersion, utilizing sound design, lighting, and pacing to craft a specific mood. While some may find it profoundly engaging, most will feel alienated by the lack of a recognizable narrative.
