Warren Dale B @strong4man Feb 23 Quite a stimulating delight. Not surprised that some critics didn't get this movie at all. It's far from linear and the story is one that obliterates straight line perception and expectations. Casting was perfect with Jared Leto and company. To enjoy this movie one has to suspend normal patterns of meaning. At the end it all comes together in a way that could offer wisdom as to life direction and enjoyment. If this review bores, irritates or angers you, you probably won't like the movie which is exactly why sojourners in consciousness might want to see it. It's far from standard fare. About a quarter of the way through I realized that many different stories were being told, but each storyline kept intercepting the other one at random times, so I was just left confused the entire time. Jared Leto's character made no sense to me. Sometimes he was British, sometimes he wasn't. Sometimes he was young, sometimes he was old. Sometimes he was on Earth, sometimes he was on Mars. Whatever the story of this movie is, it was completely lost in the conflicting narratives and Jared Leto's Palpatine-esque performance as an old man. If I could say anything nice about this movie, it would be that there were a lot of visually beautiful scenes and some intriguing concepts of the future. Otherwise, this was a waste of two-and-a-half hours. I can't recommend it. There is a lot of adult bed scenes throughout though which idk if that was really needed.
