Whole stretches of the film are garbled beyond comprehension, and the plot's thread is not regained when one character attempts to explain everybody's movements using ketchup bottles.

All-in-all, while Mubarakan suffers from a strained and predictable plot, its silliness does makes you laugh. So go watch the film if indulging in there hours of escapist comedy is your game...

In the second half[,] the film gets totally centred on Anil Kapoor and his antics. Unlike Welcome, he doesn't get much support from his co-actors and gigs become repetitive in nature.

Mubarakan: I thought this 'One-lie Golmaal' script movies were a thing of the past but when even newer generations start making movies like this, there is not much hope in Bollywood. There is no need for creativity to make movies around a 'one-lie' shown in the beginning. Dissappointed :((
