Kat L @RT09657103 Dec 26 Had a hard time navigating this one. Nothing offensive, just packed with clichés. The writing, acting and directing are average: the male lead is one-note, the female lead is chilly, and her sudden shift from rude in the meet-uncute to romantic doesn’t feel earned. The son also flips from grumpy teen to dream kid with no buildup. There’s even the classic interrupted trope of "I need to tell you something", preceding the female lead storming off over nothing. Predictable and dull. The lighthouse and coastal scenery are lovely, though. You might enjoy it if you’ve never seen a Christmas movie before.
