When housewife Frances Hannon (Laila Robins) is abducted and buried alive, detective Madeline Foster (Maura Tierney) is brought in. With only 24 hours before Frances' oxygen runs out, Madeline pursues the trail laid by a killer calling himself Harry Houdini (Adrien Brody). After capturing him, Madeline brings Harry back to the police station, but is unable to get him to confess where Frances is buried. As time runs down, Harry gets inside the head of unstable, alcoholic Madeline.

Tierney definitely has what it takes to carry a film; it's unfortunate that this vehicle doesn't give her much of substance to carry.

I watched this movie on You Tube. I watched about 95% of the movie before I realized this was not a movie by the Oxygen Television Network. I still can't believe is wasn't.

Oxygen had potential - psycho smart killer buries a lady and then plays with cops and the FBI. Young Brody with braces.

A fairly entertaining movie with Silence of the Lambs vibes. Again the cornered criminal plays power games with the protagonist. It does drag a little as the philosophical lectures outstay their welcome. And it's a bit overwrought, slipping into the absurd. But otherwise well acted and shot.

This is honestly one of the most frustratingly awful films I have ever watched. It's as though they didn't have enough dialogue or story to fill the time so they just dragged out every pause, every look into the camera, every damn thing. It was appallingly directed. What an effing disgrace of a movie.

It’s a standard procedure thriller but it’s an solid debut for Writer and Director Richard Shepard (Salem, In the Motherhood) with solid performances by Maura Tierney (Welcome to Mooseport) and Adrien Brody (The Singing Detective)

Synopsis
